The Family Pledge may be compared to the Christian Lord’s Prayer and is also about the coming of God’s kingdom. The difference is that in the Lord’s Prayer one prays that the Kingdom of Heaven must come, while in the Family Pledge we promise to do our part to make it grow bigger. We live in the time of the Messiah’s second coming, when the Kingdom of Heaven is already in the process of being established. Therefore, we promise to invest ourselves in building the Kingdom of Heaven.
Some regard the Family Pledge as the creed of the Family Federation.
Below, you will find the Family Pledge with explanatory footnotes.
